Which airlines allow your luggage as hand luggage?
Both the Business-Trolley and Cabin-Trolley fit in the overhead bins of most commercial aircraft. However, we recommend that you check the fare conditions before your flight, as policies change and vary from airline to airline.
What material is your luggage made of?
All GUNDEL suitcases are made of anodised aluminium and have an extremely hard-wearing and water-repellent lining.
The GUNDEL Business-Trolley also features a removable briefcase, which is made of high-quality leather.
Are your suitcases weatherproof?
Aluminium is extremely weather-resistant and insensitive to frost, sun, rain and UV radiation. To prevent moisture from penetrating inside, each suitcase is equipped with a closure system without zips.
How do I adjust the locks on my new suitcase?
At delivery, both codes are set to 0-0-0. To open your suitcase, turn the number wheels to 0-0-0 and press the round button. To lock the suitcase, close the base and change the numbers to engage the lock. (Note: The locks MUST be set on your code to close the suitcase.) The two locks are independant from each other. You can choose to set two identical or two different codes for an added security level.
To set a new code, adjust the number wheels to the current code and open the lock. Press the little reset button (located on the top left) with a small pointy pin until you hear it click into place. Turn the number wheels to set your new chosen personal code and press the round button so that the reset button springs back to its original position. Close the lock by pushing the base completely back into its socket. Keep your code safe because you cannot set a new one without it.
You do not need a key to open the lock. Only members of the Transport Security Administration (the North American aviation security agency) or other authorised security personnel can open your suitcase with a TSA security inspection key.
How heavy are your suitcases?
Business-Trolley: 4,3 kg
Cabin-Trolley: 4,2 kg
Check-in: 5 kg
Check-in XL: 6,7kg
What size suitcase best suits my needs?
Our GUNDEL suitcases are as individual as you are yourself. However, we have a few tips that will help you decide which size suits you and your travel needs best.
Travel duration:
bis zu 3 Tagen: Our Cabin-Trolley and Business-Trolley are the perfect carry-on sizes with a little extra space. However, please check the specifications of your preferred airline to ensure that your chosen suitcase size is compatible with the airline's approved dimensions.
Up to 10 days: If you plan to travel a little longer, we recommend our Check-in models. Depending on whether you prefer to carry a little too much rather than too little, choose either the Check-in or the Check-in XL.
Up to 14 days: The Check-in XL offers the optimum storage capacity for extended journeys. It stores up to 14 days of outfits (and even more if you are a packing/planning pro).
What is the difference between the Business-Trolley and the other models?
The Business-Trolley is externally almost identical to the other models: they are made of the same high quality aluminium alloy and are constructed in the same way. The difference lies in its features: the Business-Trolley is equipped with an integrated USB bridge, a removable briefcase and more than 30 practical compartments.
Where can I have a look at the suitcases?
An in situ viewing at our location near Nuremberg is possible. Please let us know in advance via our email info@gundel-koffer.de so that we can ensure that we have the models available in the colours you want.
How can I remove the side sticker on my new suitcase?
Unfortunately, our sticker supplier used too strong an adhesive, which makes removal quite difficult. We would like to expressly apologise to you for this.
The best way to remove the glue is with a hairdryer or hot air gun and a plastic scraper. To remove the glue residue afterwards, you can use an adhesive remover product or nail polish remover.
